I’m still in a reading rut, and that’s okay. I’ve been busy, and I’ve been working on other things, with lots of time-sensitive side projects as an author (stay tuned for surprises!) as well as a full-time job that pays the bills.
The side projects aren’t going to end any time soon–which is NOT a bad thing, but it means I have to carefully guard my time. Even just running this blog, it takes up time.
I am trying to get off tech for an hour before bed, and ideally, I could read then. But as deadlines loom, I might not be able to give up that time, but rather have to devote it to my second job, as I call it–being an author.
Frankly, as a Catholic and former postulant in a religious community, God and prayer are my first priority. If I’m going to read a lot, I would have to cut into my prayer time to do it, and I’m not willing to do that. So I don’t have an issue reading a bit less, or putting it on the back burner.
All this to say . . . I wish in a way I could be reading more. But it’s not an issue that I’m not, because it’s not bothering me.
In the meantime, please check out www.herezothtrilogy.com for more info on my books!
