My favorite voices in the audiobook version of “The Crimson League”

As of this writing on May 9, I’ve listened to 16 chapters of the audiobook of The Crimson League: The Fight for Hope.

One of my favorite aspects of it is Dana Allen’s voice work with dialogue, giving each character a fun, unique voice. Here are my favorites:

KORA, for sure. Kora’s got a ton of heart, and she can be a spitfire. This all comes out in Kora’s voice, and I just adore how Dana has captured Kora’s essence, in a sense.

KANSTEN. I forgot that, before production began, I okayed giving Kansten a cockney accent. When Kansten spoke her first line of dialogue, I cracked up laughing because it fits her background and personality so well. I just loved it.

LASKENAY. The nobles all speak the King’s English, and I love Laskenay’s voice so much. Her spirit of resignation and deep suffering is very evident. It’s fantastic.

BENNIE: Bennie’s deep hope and innocence really come out in her voice! I squealed when Bennie starting talking for the first time!

ZALSKI. (You knew the main villain was going to make this list, right?) He is posh and oh-so-subtly-threatening. It’s right there in his tone.

Release date for the audiobook is still to be determined, but I will let you know when it’s ready and available!

In the meantime, books one and two of my trilogy are available in paperback and ebook from Amazon (and free to you if you have KU)
