With launch day just around the corner on June 15, I wanted to share with you the beautiful map of Herezoth, lovingly designed by MK Eidson.

Here it is in Color, Grayscale, and Black/White.

I love the fonts and style Mike used in the design because I feel they help create a magical/whimsical feel!

HEREZOTH is an island kingdom, known for sorcery among, well . . . a small number of its inhabitants are born with the talent for sorcery.

There’s quite a bit of friction between those who have magic and those who do not.

• HOGARANE is the home village of protagonist Kora (stay tuned for a character spotlight of her on Tuesday.) “Hogar” means “home” in Spanish, and I wanted to use that as the root of the name of where she’s from.
• YANGERTON is the largest city in Herezoth. The Crimson League has a base there, blending in among all the people.
• PODRAR is the capital city, home of the Crystal Palace and the seat of sorcerer Zalski Forzythe’s regime. (“Poder” means “power” in Spanish, as well as being the infinitive of the verb “to be able.” Podr- is the root of “poder” in a couple of verb tenses, so I used it for the capital.
• THE HALL OF SORCERY is an ancient structure high in the Pearl Mountains. It’s featured on the novel’s cover.
