There may be some writers who only care about making money. They rush out book after book, trying to capitalize on current trends that will sell.
Such (theoretical) writers cares nothing about the quality of their “art.” They care nothing about the stories. It’s all a cash grab.
You see it all over the place in Hollywood these days.
I can assure you, this is not the case for me and my Herezoth trilogy (and beyond).
First of all, my characters are kind of like my kids. That’s not to disrespect parents, as I’m well aware that raising real a real, flesh and blood child is nothing like writing a novel. What I mean is, I care deeply about them and their stories. And I like to think it shows.
I want stories that will test them, try them, teach them, and most of all, do justice to the spark of humanity that they represent.
Whether they’re brash and bold like Zac, Kora, and Valkin, light-hearted like Lanokas, or more melancholic and introspective like Vane and Laskenay, I make sure that what they go through, they go through for a reason.

My books are not perfect. But one thing they definitely are not is a soul-less cash grab.
The word I use to describe them is “heart.” They are full of heart. And hope. And meaningful adventure.
My upcoming prequel is the same. If that sounds intriguing, please sign up for my newsletter for more information, a free excerpt, and eventual notice of how to snap an ARC of The Conflicted Conspirator.
