I need to read “Pride and Prejudice” again

I’ve read Pride and Prejudice multiple times, but it’s been years, for sure. Possibly a decade or more. It’s time to read it again.

Jane Austen is one of my favorite novelists of all time. Her wit, character development, and sense of the reality and the foibles of fallen human nature are pretty much unmatched.

Jane and Lizzie are delightful. Bingley cracks me up. So does Mary, poor thing. Mr. Collins, of course, makes everybody cringe, and there is solace in knowing the reaction to him is utterly universal.

Mr. Darcy is one of my favorite Austen men, up there with Captain Wentworth in Persuasion. But whereas Wentworth is much more easy-going, Mr. Darcy’s temperament is much more like mine, and I can relate to him easily.

From the opening line, Pride and Prejudice is a masterpiece. I love it so much. I can’t believe I haven’t read it in so long.
