I got the first chapters of the audiobook for “The Crimson League” in! My thoughts:

I’m beyond excited. I have the first chapters (1-8 or 1-9, around there) in from Dana Allen, the narrator of the audiobook of The Crimson League: The Fight for Hope.

I listened through for fun yesterday (as I write this). Today I need to listen for notes/feedback/corrections. But some first impressions:

-I’ve always known dialogue is my strength as a writer. I feel like Dana is doing a fabulous job bringing spirit, emotion, and emphasis to the back and forth.

-I love the voices–especially Kora, Zac, Bennie, Laskenay, and Kansten (who has a cockney accent, and it’s a brilliant choice.) I think I’ll really love Zalski and Malzin too, based on the sample I have of voices, but I’m not at the point yet in the story where they really get to show off 🙂

It’s just so much fun to be back with the League, this set of characters, and this period in their lives. Will be great fun–and great prep to dive into fixing up that draft of a prequel eventually, as well.
