May 30: Book two’s release, Joan of Arc, and Kora!

I originally wanted to release The Crimson League: The Fight for Hope on May 30 of last year.

This was because, first of all, it’s the anniversary of my conversion experience (which took place utterly unexpectedly in 2014).

May 30 also happens to be feast of St. Joan of Arc. She is the patron of New Orleans, my hometown. Given that the protagonist of The Crimson League is a seventeen-year-old girl fighting in a (magical civil) war, the connection with St. Joan was clear and AWESOME.

I ended up needed to give ARC readers more time, so I launched on June 15 instead. But I’m releasing The Magic Council: The Fight for Home this year on May 30. And even if the connection with St. Joan isn’t nearly as clear or perfect as it would have been with book one, this year marks the 10th anniversary of my conversion, which is pretty awesome, I think.

Honestly, I could have chosen to release book two a bit sooner. But I wanted May 30 because it’s so personally significant to me. It’s going to be an amazing day.

I hope you will help me celebrate by traveling to Herezoth!
