As I write this, I’m preparing for a second celebratory (birthday) get-together with my family in one week.

So I am grateful for that time with the people I love and who love me. I am thankful that they are in my life. I am thankful that they care about me, and check in on me, and support me in everything I do, rooting for me every step of the way.

I’m grateful to be able to live near all my family, because that wasn’t always the case and it won’t necessarily always be the case.

I am thankful for the kiddos in my family, and all the joy and laughter they bring to my life. I’m thankful for the wisdom of my those older than me and the companionship of my siblings.

I am grateful to have a loving, supportive, close blood family, because I know that is a blessing not everyone shares.
