I don’t know what I was thinking, hoping to consider December my month “off” because I have a break from a couple of Church programs this month until one starts up again in January. (I’m not continuing with the second one).
December is DECEMBER. I have been busy with festivities all month so far, and it’s only December 9th as I write this, with more to come.
This isn’t a bad thing, necessarily. I’m just needing time to recharge and recuperate, and I’m not getting anything like that.
At least in January, I’m taking a full week off my day job when book two comes back from the editor. I should be able then to rest up (and work at the edit, but that’s work that tends to recharge me, as long as I don’t really overdo it and push it too much, like I did this year when I had only one week to get a manuscript ready for the proofreader.)
I’ve just got to take my time and do it right, and we’ll see how it goes from there. It’s funny that timeline for book two appears to be very similar to book one from this year . . . release will hopefully end up around the same time, maybe a LITTLE earlier. I could probably swing that, but I don’t know how smart that is. It might make more sense to give ARC readers more time with the book.
