I took today off work because I worked a mini-retreat of sorts this weekend with the Alpha course at my Church parish. I always take Monday off after an Alpha weekend.

So, here’s what is on my to-do list for today:

• Email my editor to see if she can take the manuscript of book 2 at the end of the month!
• Edit the prologue and epilogue of “The Magic Council: The Fight for Home”
• Rename a character who is so minor you never see him.
• Edit the first line of chapter one
• Do document-wide searches for “just,” “ly,” and other tricky words I should be able to cut in large quantities
• Go through dialogue in one or two scenes in particular and try to make the king’s vocabulary not so high-brow

And there we go! Book two is almost ready for my editor. I’m excited to get it to the world.
