My 200th blog post: small wins matter

WordPress recently notified me that I published my 200th blog post. That is an accomplishment, albeit a small one. It’s worth celebrating.

If I’m honest, I’ve been busy lately. I’m super involved with things at Church right now. And while things in life are definitely going okay–I’m blessed to have a paying job and my fiction as well, at which I work my tail off as my passion project, even if it doesn’t bring in anything–blogging has felt like a chore.

It’s felt like more investment for no payoff where my writing “career” is concerned. Still, I’ve kept at it. I’ve published 200 posts and am currently, as I write this, at a streak of 157 days on WordPress. That’s consistency through ups and downs. It’s endurance. It’s dedication. And even if it feels like I don’t really have much to show for it, that’s worth celebrating.

Small wins matter and should be recognized–especially when the big picture doesn’t feel like much or is cloudy.

So yea! 200 posts about life, faith, fiction, fantasy, and creative writing. Here’s to another 200 to come 🙂
