A new review of “The Crimson League: The Fight for Hope” brought tears to my eyes today.
It was posted on Amazon as 5 stars
This book is remarkable. On the surface it’s a simple “chosen one” quest to overthrow the tyrant. Once you start reading it takes you on a more incredible journey.
Gritty, realistic but the thread of hope running through the whole thing. I can’t wait to see where the author takes this next
I’ve been wondering why this pretty much made me cry. I think it’s the way this reader found a depth to the story and saw hope in it as a virtue to be striven for and clung to.
I’ve mentioned before that, although I don’t write explicitly Christian fiction, a Christian philosophy of things does permeate my books. (See here). I’ve always hoped that could make a positive impact on readers, in a meaningful and lasting way.
I’ve always dreamed that it might help my work stand out, along with the twists and turns and creative use of some classic fantasy tropes.
This review made me realize that I succeeded in that.
I’m just thrilled. Because this is why I’m a writer.
